MSP Well was founded by two long-standing leaders in the MSP and cybersecurity community, Joe Ussia and James Mignacca, who share a simple belief: the people behind the protection deserve just as much care as the systems they defend.
A Message from Our Founders
If you work in the MSP or cybersecurity space, you already know the feeling.
What most people don’t see is the weight that comes with that responsibility. The anxiety before a big migration, the stress when something breaks at 2:00 a.m., the quiet burnout that builds over years of putting everyone else first.
We created MSP Well because we’ve lived it.
I am Joe Ussia, CEO of Infinite IT, an ISO-certified MSP in Toronto. I’ve spent my career in the channel—serving on the XChange Advisory Board, co-hosting the IT4Whiskey podcast, and working alongside MSPs and vendors across North America. I’ve seen brilliant people burn out in silence. I’ve seen leaders carry enormous pressure without ever feeling like they could say, “I’m not okay.” Running a MSP is a very stressful job, and I am on my own journey of mental health and wellness to manage my stress and anxiety, both of which have a profound impact on my ability to function.
I am James Mignacca, a cybersecurity entrepreneur whose journey with mental health got personal fast. I supported my father through a serious illness, battled panic attacks of my own, and eventually reached a point where I knew I needed help. Therapy changed how I understood mental health. I stopped seeing it as a sign of weakness and started seeing it as a fundamentally human part of life.
Our paths crossed with a shared realization:
If we can talk openly about breaches, outages, and business continuity, we should be able to talk openly about stress, burnout, and mental health too.
MSP Well was born from that belief.
We set out to build a not-for-profit, volunteer-driven community dedicated to one thing: supporting the mental health and wellness of MSP and IT channel professionals. A place where you can:
Our Not-for-Profit Charter is simple and intentional:
We’re not here to sell you anything. We’re here to stand beside you.
Whether you’re an owner, technician, engineer, consultant, sales professional, administrator, finance manager, tech support rep, vendor, distributor, or channel partner—you’re welcome here. You don’t need to have it all together. You don’t need the perfect words. You just need to show up as yourself.
This is the start of a community.
A safe, judgment-free place for our peers, friends, and colleagues in the IT channel to share, express, and grow together.
We’re glad you’re here.
Joe Ussia & James Mignacca
Co-Founders, MSP Well
The IT channel moves fast and the pressure is real. When we work together, we can build a culture that values mental wellness, supports open conversation and lifts the people behind the technology we all rely on.
